Remembering John

I remember John with great fondness from TCD and and am glad to see he remained faithful to the old place! I miss his Irish Times column at the end of the Arts section - always a good read. I came on this notice late, through a friendly contact. All my thoughts are with Marion and the children. Handsome John! Bruce

Peter Thompson

John was a most supportive colleague during my period as a freelance reporter 1993-'95 and always subsequently as a contributor. I was quite shocked to read of the untimely passing of this decent man, and send his family and partner my very sincere condolences.

With kindest regards,

Peter Thompson, 12, Ferrybank, Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
