HYLAND, Charles Hachette, LRCSI, LDS, April 27, 1916 following three days rendering first aid around the Mount Street Bridge area. Killed by a single bullet after removing his stained white coat. Charles was struck while standing at the back door of 2 Percy Place circa 8.30pm. Charles was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs C. Hyland, long time residents of the area. Proudly remembered by his loving nephew, Kenneth and niece, June.
