GUNNING, Val (Stephen V.) (Rathfarnham, Dublin and late of Geesala, Co.Mayo) - December 4th 2020, beloved husband of the late Sheila, (peacefully) surrounded by his family, in the care of the wonderful staff of the Marlay Nursing Home. Sadly missed and forever loved by all who knew him, especially his children Stephen and Ciara, his daughter-in-law Gráinne, son-in-law David, his adored grandchildren Georgia, Alex, Eve, Joseph and Kate, sister Anna, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his brothers TD and Sean and sisters Mary and Josephine. A special thanks to all in the Marlay Nursing Home for their extraordinary care and affection for Val over the last years and particularly in these difficult times. In accordance with government guidelines, a private family funeral will take place on Tuesday 8th December in the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange, Rathfarnham, with burial afterwards at Shanganagh Cemetery.
