FitzGerald (NUI, Galway and Beaufort, Killarney) December 5, 2016, following a short illness at University Hospital, Galway, Richard. Much loved husband of Frances, brother of Gilbert and Bernard and brother-in-law of Carol and Mary. Sadly missed by his stepsons John, Adam and Darragh, niece Hannah, nephew David and cousins Una and Geraldine, a whole legion of friends from many times and places. Reposing at O'Shea's Funeral Home, Killarney this (Wednesday) evening from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral arriving at St. Mary's Church, Beaufort at 11.30am for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon tomorrow (Thursday). Burial afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery, Beaufort. House Private. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu to the Galway Hospice. Many thanks to all the staff of St Anthony's Ward, GUH and to the respiratory team for their exceptional care.
