<p>O'DONNELL, Hugh Thomas (Toronto, formerly of Limerick and Mullingar) - February 6, 2013 after a short illness at St Michael's Hospital, Toronto. Beloved husband of Anne. Son of the late Michael (Lt-Col) and Peg. Pre-deceased by his sisters Gráinne and Mary and brother Paul; deeply regretted by his brothers John and Ciaran, brother-in-law Paddy, sisters-in-law Jane and Pauline, Aunt Kay, Uncle John and Aunt Bridie and by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his children Aidan, Ruairí and Éanna, their mother Patricia (O'Dea), his daughter-in-law Sarah and his granddaughter Lucy Toumani; his step-children Seodhna, Garret and Caitriona, son-in-law Jerome and his step-grandsons Jarrod and Ronan Hugo. Funeral service in Toronto, Canada today (Saturday), February 9. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Parkinson's Association of Ireland. <p>A Sad Farewell</p> <p>Hugh was the year behind me in that cauldron of creativity, the BA Honours English class in Maynooth (before the light entered the hallowed halls). He was a bright, cheerful and replete with future promise. I lost track of his progress and now find myself on the same land-mass as he was when he died. May God rest his soul.</p> <p>Denis Bergin, Mt. Pleasant SC and Co. Offaly</p>
