PHILLIPS, Michael Burke (former Canadian Ambassador to Ireland) – July 5, 2024. Born 1939, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, has died peacefully, his wife Oonagh and children Ciara and Conor by his side at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire. He will be remembered by his siblings Marilyn, Kelly and Patricia, grandchildren Selma and Declan and by all those who knew him for his intelligence, experienced counsel and great wit. He was loved dearly and will be missed more than words can say. Funeral Mass on Thursday (July 11) at 11.30am in St. Stephen’s Church, Killiney Hill Road, Killiney, followed by private cremation on Friday (July 12). No flowers, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers can be made to support the work of the International Rescue Committee. Rest in peace.
