McKEOWN Frederick (Freddie) - It was with great sadness that I learned my brother Fred passed away in the Mater Hospital on July 2, 2019. He was a wonderful, unique human being and a great loss to myself and my family. Fred's life was dedicated to the Church, which he loved so much, especially at All Saints, Grangegorman and at Christ Church Cathedral, for most of his life. Fred enjoyed a great sense of humour and would have me in stitches with political correctness during our many chats on the telephone. His funeral at Christ Church Cathedral was magnificent and the Requiem Mass was adorned with the choir and music Fred would have loved. To the Dean, the Very Reverend Dermot Dunne, my profound thanks for all he has done. To the Archdeacon, the Venerable David Pierpoint, who gave a wonderful heart-warming address, a sincere thank you. To all Fred's friends and family who attended his funeral, many thanks for being there. To the people of Cabra, where he lived for seventy-five years, thank you for being wonderful neighbours to my brother Fred. God Bless you all - stay safe Harold McKeown.
