MAHER - Mary (Ranelagh), (formerly of The Irish Times and the Employment Appeals Tribunal. Journalist, trade unionist, equality campaigner and founder member, Irish Women’s Liberation Movement), November 30, 2021, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin.
Predeceased by her parents James and Bonnie, brothers, Jim, and Bill. Mary will be deeply missed by her daughters, Maeve and Nóra, grandchildren Níon, Kit and Finn; her brother, Jerry, sister Bonnie, by the extended Maher and Geraghty family circle in Ireland and America, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, comrades in the trade union movement and by the devoted team at Shannagh Bay Nursing Home, Bray. In keeping with her generous spirit Mary has donated her body for medical research. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
