GARVEY, Sr. Thecla (L.S.U.) - February 8, 2013, (peacefully), at Mont Vista Retreat Road, Athlone, formerly of Mullagh Beg Gurtymadden, Loughrea, Co. Galway; deeply regretted by her loving family, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephew, grandnieces, her Community Sisters, staff, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Evening prayers will be celebrated in the Mont Vista Oratory, today (Saturday) at 6 o'clock Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 o'clock, with burial afterwards in Our Lady Bower Cemetery.

<p>Remembering Sr Thecla</p> <p>This comes a little late as I only heard the sad news today. I went to Kilashee school in Naas during the seventies and kept in touch with Sr Thecla through my mother who was also a teacher there. I have very fond memories of her during my time spent at Killashee. My thoughts are with her family and friends.</p> <p>Cormac Figgis</p>
