HILLERY - Prof. Brian J. (Rathgar, Dublin 6 and formerly Miltown Malbay Co. Clare), January 19, 2021. As we lovingly remember Brian at the time of his First Anniversary, his wife Miriam and children Conor, Eugene, Clíona, Brian and Gavin, his nine grandchildren, his sister Joan and brother Tom would like to express thanks for all the huge love and support from so many over the last year. To those who lined the route to Rathgar church for Brian’s funeral Mass and gathered outside, those who sent beautiful letters and Mass Cards, all those who watched the ceremony online, wrote thoughtful condolence messages, and sent flowers. The various public tributes paid to Brian were greatly appreciated. Thanks to Simon Morgan for leading such beautiful singing at the church, to Jody Fanagan for his sensitivity and attention to detail, and to Rathgar Parish. We would also like to thank in particular Fr. Des Hillery, who celebrated a beautiful Mass for Brian and honoured his life so specially. The support from friends, extended family and all those who meant so much to Brian across academia, politics and business is hugely appreciated. May he Rest in Peace. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
