McNICHOLAS, James (Jim) (Millbrook Lawns, Tallaght and formerly of Logcurragh, Swinford, Co. Mayo) - 22nd October 2023. Passed peacefully in the care of the wonderful team in the William Stokes Unit, Tallaght University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Catherine (nee Long) twenty-six years ago. Cherished father of Sinéad, Enda, Treasa and Gráinne, much loved father-in-law of Michael, Niamh, and Derek; adored grandfather of Kate, Aoibh, Jack, Aidan, Eabhan and Emma, faithful friend to Eileen Flanagan. Predeceased by his parents James and Ellen McNicholas, brothers Francis, Patrick and sister Eileen, loving brother to Walter, Tommy, Teresa, Mary and Ann, caring brother-in-law, uncle, neighbour, and friend to many, including those in Eircom (formerly P&T). May his gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing in the home of his son from 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday 25th October. We sincerely welcome all family, loved ones, and friends to join us. A family member will be in touch with details. Funeral Mass Thursday 26th October at 10am at St. Dominic’s Church, Tallaght, D24 T262, followed by a cremation service at Newland’s Cross Crematorium, Ballymount Road, D24 KICY at 11.30am.
