McDONNELL, Ted (Timothy L.) - Crannóg, Lake Road, Loughrea, Co Galway and formerly of Monkstown, Co Cork. Ted passed away peacefully, at home, on 23rd June 2025. Beloved husband of the late Fidelma (Benson), and much-loved father of Tadhg, Félim, Davnet and Maeve. Predeceased by his parents Timothy and Margaret, and by his sister Mary (Quane) and brother Declan. Mourned and sadly missed by his sons and daughters, daughters-in-law Karina Downes and Margaret Cox, sons-in-law Cathal McLysaght and Peter McNamara, adored grandchildren, Tim, Kate, Brian, Conor, Kevin, Alannah, Laoise, Brian, Aoife, Fiadh, Rory and Keira; Tim’s partner Siobhan and great-grandchildren Clodagh and Orla, brother Donal, sisters-in-law Mary McDonnell and Eileen McDonnell, brothers-in-law Mick Quane and Fergus Benson, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing in Dignity Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Loughrea (H62 DV76), on Friday 27th June, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, with removal afterwards to St Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 28th June, at 11am, in St. Brendan’s Cathedral. Following Mass, Ted will be laid to rest with his cherished wife in Mount Pleasant cemetery, Loughrea, Co Galway. Family flowers only.
