HANLON - Rachel (née Dalton), it is with indescribable sadness that we share the passing of Rachel, who died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday 4th October in the care of Blackrock Hospice after an incredibly courageous battle against cancer. Beloved wife of Darren and most loving Mom of Emilia. Predeceased by her father Padraig. Very sadly missed by her husband, daughter, mother Bernadette, brothers Greg, Patrick and sister Vanessa, brothers-in-law Barry, Jamie, Karl, Sean, sisters-in-law Brenda and Juliet, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours. Over the past three years, Rachel faced every challenge with extraordinary strength, resilience and deter-mination, and her commitment to creating meaningful moments for our family never wavered. From the Paris Olympics to Disneyland LA, glamping weekends around Ireland to dolphin searching in the Adriatic to name just a few, Rachel has devoted this period to creating family memories during an incredibly difficult time. We would like to offer special mention to the incredible staff in the Beacon Hospital, who looked after her so well throughout her journey. We are also incredibly thankful to the wonderful nurses, doctors, carers and volunteers who made her final days so peaceful and calm, within Our Lady’s Hospice Blackrock. Reposing in Massey Bros. Funeral Home Blackrock (A94 X308), on Tuesday 6th October from 5pm – 7pm.

A ceremony to Celebrate her Life will take place on Wednesday 7th October at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, at Mount Jerome Crematorium (D6W HY98), and all are welcome. Rachel’s light, kindness and love will stay within our hearts forever. Donations to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock in lieu of flowers. All enquiries to Massey Bros. Blackrock (01) 2804454

We love her to the moon and back.

HANLON, Rachel
