MORRISSEY, Garry (Dunoon, Monang, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford) - Garry passed away peacefully on Saturday 27th July 2024 in the tender care of staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Cappoquin. Predeceased by his parents Hannah and Mickey, sisters Maura and Ann and grandchild Barry. Garry is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife Ann, daughter Colette, sons Michael, Brian and Barry, son-in-law Eamon, daughters-in-law Gillian and Dearbhla, grandchildren David, Senan, Emma, Owen, Elizabeth, Barry and Rody and great-grandchild Bodhi, sister Carmel Walsh, extended family and friends. Garry's Funeral Mass took place on Monday 29th July in St. Augustine's Church, Abbeyside, followed by burial in Ballinroad Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

SMITH, (née Shovlin) Catherine (Cathy) (Late of Dublin 14) - July 27th 2024. Passed peacefully after a long illness in the loving care of her family and the staff of the Blackrock Hospice. Beloved wife of Ken, loving mother of Alex, Zara and Saffron and beloved daughter of Paul and Mary. Sadly missed by her family, sisters-in-law Nicki and Gillian, aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, Dublin 4, D04 X446 (opposite UCD Flyover) on Tuesday evening, July 30th, from 6pm to 7:30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, July 31st, at 11am at the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, followed by a private cremation service. BURKE, (nee Moloney) Joan (The Mall, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, formerly of Bansha) - July 27th 2024 peacefully at The Fern Dean, Dublin. Beloved daughter of the late Muddy and Andrew, devoted wife of the late Jack and loving mother of two daughters Julie and Aisha (formerly Jacqui) as well as her seven grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers John and Michael (Macduff) and sisters Helen and Rose, survived by her sister Mary. Joan's Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary's church Cahir on (Tuesday) morning at 10.30am (July 30th), followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. MARTIN, Dr. Francis (Castleknock, Dublin 15) (ex-Coombe Hospital and UCD) - On Friday, 26th July 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Joan and dearly missed by his children Frank, Mary, Brian, Jane and John, his 16 grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at home today (Monday) 29th July from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on (Tuesday) 30th July at 12 noon in Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock, followed by burial in Mount St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Clones, Co. Monaghan, arriving at approx. 5:30 pm. PEELO, Sr. Laura OP, Dominican Convent Dún Laoghaire on 25th July 2024, peacefully at Santa Sabina House Nursing Home, Cabra. Deeply regretted by her Dominican Sisters, her sisters Colette, Audrey and Antoinette, her sister-in-law, her brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Marcella, her brothers, Seamus, Gregory, Basil and Brian. Reposing at Dominican Convent Dún Laoghaire on Monday 29th July from 3.30 – 5.30 p.m. Removal to St. Michael’s Church Dún Laoghaire for Funeral Mass at 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday 30th July followed by burial in the Convent Cemetery. May she rest in peace. SULLIVAN, Ray (Killiney, Co. Dublin) July 25, 2024. Peacefully in St Vincent’s University Hospital. Loving husband of Brenda (née Russell) and very proud father of John, Rachel, Keith and Andrea. Sadly missed by his broken-hearted wife, children, daughter-in-law Dawn, son-in-law Luke, his cherished grandchildren Russell, Euan, Grace, Mark, Joe and Liadh, brothers Ken and Richard, extended family and a wide circle of friends in Dun Laoghaire Golf Club and the Irish Dental Association. Ray will be reposing this Monday evening from 5-7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown. Funeral Mass at 10am tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue followed by cremation in Mount Jerome, Harolds Cross. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the church webcam. No flowers please. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
