KENNEDY, Brendan (Bray, Co. Wicklow, formerly Dublin City) – July 2, 2026, peacefully, in the kind and compassionate care of Leopardstown Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Helen. Proud and devoted Dad of his three daughters Ruth, Daphne and Helen, adoring grandad and great-grandad of Christian, Ben, Richie, Harry-Ray and Milo and father-in-law of Cyril, Ollie and Karen. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family, extended family and many friends. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 10.00 am in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

LYDON, (née Hegarty), Deirdre (Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin and late of Moylough, Co. Galway and London), 29th June 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of Blackrock Hospice, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Patrick and darling mother of Geraldine, Adèle, Paula, Fiona, and the late Michael. Very sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Peter, António, Richard, and Andrew, her adored grandchildren Robin, Hugh, Jenny, Michael, Daniel, and Eoin, great-grandchildren Poppy, Dylan, River, Jasper, Mara, and Violet, relatives, friends, neighbours and wonderful carers. Predeceased by her brothers Maurice (Muiris) and Terence, and sister June. Reposing at her home on Monday evening (6th July) from 5 pm to 7 pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (7th July) to the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 am followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. ANDREWS, David (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) June 30, 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family. Beloved husband of Annette and loving father of David, Barry, Mary, Sinead and Claire. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sister Catherine, daughters-in-law Hannah and Sinead, son-in-law Cathal, his cherished grandchildren Daniel, Jack, Jake, Hugh, Conn, Sophie, Kate, Eve and Tom. Also by his sisters-in-law Angela, Bernadette, Clare, Liz and brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, amazing neighbours, a very wide circle of friends from Dublin to Baile na hAbhann and especially his many colleagues in public life. David will be reposing today (Friday) from 4 pm to 6 pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94XK28. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock, followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. McALEENAN, Joseph (Joe) (Castleknock, Dublin 15) July 1st, 2026, peacefully, at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Mary and much-loved father of Alan and Jean. Pre-deceased by his sisters Evelyn and Geraldine. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren Art, Elliot, Eve, Kate and Aoife, son-in-law Ross, daughter-in-law Clare, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla today (Friday, July 3rd) from 5 pm to 7 pm. Removal to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock tomorrow morning (Saturday, July 4th) arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 am followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.
