MYLER - Thomas (Dundrum and formerly of the Liberties) 28th July 2026 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff in St. Vincent’s University Hospital in his 94th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth. He will be deeply missed by his children Jackie, Ciarán, Colin, Sinéad and Vivian and by all his extended family and friends. Removal this (Friday) morning to the Church of the Holy Cross, Dundrum arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30 am followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery.

O'CALLAGHAN - Jim (Ballincollig and late of Stradbally, Co. Laois) On July 28, 2026 peacefully at Cork University Hospital, surrounded by his family, Jim, beloved husband of Maeve (Burke) and loving father of John and Darragh. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, sister Mary, nephews John and Michael, grandnieces, grandnephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends. Requiem Mass on Friday (31st) at 12noon at the Church of St Mary and St John, Ballincollig which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/stmjballincollig . Funeral afterwards to St Oliver’s Cemetery. Jim’s family would like to thank the staff at Cork University Hospital and South Infirmary Victoria Hospital for the care given to him.

CORCORAN - Joan Corcoran (nee Deegan) The Old Rectory, Spencer Street, Castlebar, formerly of Brideswell, Gorey, died 31st July 2024. As Joan’s second anniversary approaches, her husband Darach, her children Alex, Suzanne and John, and her six grandchildren Lillian, Ross, Noah, Tom, Ella and Grace would like to thank all who sympathised and supported them at the time of her death, at her funeral, and with Masses

and messages. We are particularly grateful to the staff of the Emergency Department, ICU and palliative care team in Mayo University Hospital, who cared for her with such kindness, to those friends who helped get the family home from Spain, to Canon Conal Eustace and Rocky Moran

for organising her beautiful funeral, and to Pat Jennings and his team in the Traveller’s Friend for looking after us so well afterwards. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. Joan’s Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 8th. August, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
